Statement by JAMS.TV on the Japan Earthquake and Tsunami
Viewers in Australia will be no doubt distressed by the images of the Japan earthquake and tsunami currently in the news. JAMS.TV offers its deepest condolences to those who lost their lives in this terrible catastrophe, which has caused damage on an unprecedented scale. We also express our heartfelt sympathy for victims who have been forced into evacuation or refuge, and the support workers doing their utmost day and night to alleviate the crisis.
The staff at JAMS.TV are working to issue disaster related information as quickly as possible, assuming their role as part of Australia’s largest lifestyle information website in Japanese, which has provided a range of information to users up to the present. The Consulate-General of Japan in Sydney, along with the Japanese Society of Sydney Inc., the Japan Club of Sydney Inc., and the Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry Sydney Inc., are now substantially examining action to support victims of the disaster.
